In-water self-expanding packer

The in-water self-expanding packer is based on the principle that polymeric materials will expand in water. In such case, water molecules enter the polymer structure to enable the water swollen rubber to swell continuously, so as to seal the external annular space of the casing (or oil tube) and isolate horizons. Currently, this new downhole tool has been used in cementing and completion as well as in bare holes and casings.

Stage collar
