The multifunctional bridge plug stopper is the new tool that is placed in abnormal wells and special wellbores. It can provide special-shaped expansion for irregular borehole diameter and thus isolate intended zones effectively. It adopts expansion rubber tube as the sealing element, and its internal part is structured with non-continuous steel frames, providing the sealing of the concentric metal and rubber auxiliary seals at the both ends; its central pure rubber part can be used for non-concentric special-shaped wellbore sealing. It is mainly used in the completion engineering of complex oil, gas and water wells to realize multi-purpose well isolation and bridge blinding, which has significant effects on improving and upgrading the cementing and completion quality for oil, gas and water wells. Basic working principle

The multifunctional bridge plug stopper is a new tool used for cementing and completion, hydrocarbon reservoir protection and the completion with special process currently. Its rubber tube can swell in a non-concentric, special-shaped manner, contact closely with the well wall or the intended zones, and cut out the high-pressure fluid channel connecting the upper and lower parts, realizing permanent sealing. After the non-continuous sheet metal of the multifunctional bridge plug stopper is sulfurized with rubber in high temperature, the swollen material functions as framework supports, and a metal-rubber layer forms, providing excellent sealing effects and playing a key role in cutting off and bearing upward/downward high-pressure fluid. Its working principle is as follows: during construction, when the displacement plug runs to the spoiler, forming sealing (pipe string structures, such as ball injectors or blinds, can also be used to form sealing) in the casing and starting pressure building up. Liquid runs through the valve system and enters the locking valve. When the pressure reaches the set value, the pin on the locking valve is cut off, the locking valve is opened, and liquid runs through the non-return valve (the radial valve system). Then, the pressure limiting valve will enter the expansion chamber between the central pipe and the rubber tube, forming sealing by enabling the multifunctional bridge plug stopper to swell and contact the well wall closely. When the pressure in the expansion chamber reaches the set value of the pressure limiting valve's pin, the pin will be cut off, and the pressure limiting valve will act, sealing the incoming port. At the moment, the pressure in the casing has no effect on the pressure in the expansion chamber, and safe seat sealing is formed; the bleed pressure at the well head is zero, and the locking valve will be locked automatically, realizing permanent sealing. The follow-up downhole pressure operation will have no effect on the multifunctional bridge plug stopper.
